The Iowa Insurance Institute, founded in 1958, represents Iowa’s property and casualty companies. Our member companies provide automobile, homeowners, commercial, workers compensation, and farm coverage.
We represent the interests of our members before the Iowa Legislature and Insurance Division. We are committed to promoting a cost effective legislative and regulatory environment conducive to the ability of property casualty insurers to write reasonably priced coverage.
Our members employ 8,000 Iowans, and pay $250 million in wages. Members insure 2 million Iowans. Members pay $50 million in state and local taxes, and own more than $150 million in Iowa real estate. Members have also contributed over $3 million to Iowa charities over the last five years.
